Abstract:To address the cost issues in the EPC general contracting model, this article focuses on three core risks: insufficient design optimization, material price fluctuations, and ambiguous contract interfaces, and analyzes their underlying causes. At the same time, strategies such as establishing quota design and value engineering system, constructing dynamic price warning and strategic procurement mechanism, and improving contract claim control mechanism are proposed to address these issues. The results of the practical project show that after implementing the above strategies, the project settlement price is reduced by 3.2% compared to the contract price, and the price difference of main materials is reduced by 58.7%.
