In response to the problem of insufficient utilization of a large amount of low-temperature return water heat in centralized heating pipelines, this article adopts a combination of theoretical analysis and engineering practice to construct multiple utilization system structures mainly using absorption heat pumps, compression heat pumps, etc., and establishes a system energy efficiency evaluation index system. The research results show that in a heating renovation project in Datong, the cascade utilization of heat pumps reduced the return water temperature of the primary network from 65 ℃ to 39 ℃, and increased the transmission and distribution capacity of the network by 38%. The operation data of a certain exhaust steam waste heat cascade recovery centralized heating system shows that the total amount of waste heat recovered by the system is 64.91×104 GJ, with an energy-saving rate of 49.11%.
