Abstract:Soft soil has the characteristics of high moisture content, high compressibility, and low bearing capacity. If not handled properly, it can easily cause uneven settlement of roads, structural cracking, and decreased usability. To enhance the safety and durability of municipal road engineering, this article systematically analyzes the principles, applicable conditions, and construction points of commonly used treatment methods such as replacement cushion layer method, drainage consolidation method, and composite foundation treatment technology. Combined with specific engineering examples, the application effects of different treatment technologies in controlling settlement, improving bearing capacity, and enhancing foundation stability are compared and evaluated. The results indicate that selecting appropriate soft soil foundation treatment techniques and strengthening construction quality control can significantly improve the performance of foundation engineering and provide guarantees for the long-term safe operation of municipal road projects.
