Abstract:New environmentally friendly materials are significantly superior to traditional materials in terms of corrosion resistance, service life, and construction convenience. Among them, high-density polyethylene, glass fiber reinforced plastic and other materials have shown excellent performance in practical engineering, which can extend the service life of pipelines by 30 to 50 years and reduce maintenance costs by more than 40%. The article compares and analyzes the performance characteristics of traditional pipes and new environmentally friendly materials, and combines engineering case studies and technical parameter testing to systematically evaluate the applicability of different environmentally friendly materials in water supply and drainage engineering, which can provide technical support for building a green municipal infrastructure system.
